This book emerged out of a friendship between writer Richard Hell and artist Christopher Wool and their mutual passion for reading and the experiences associated with it. Hell has been assembling two word pairings that reflect his fascination with text, and Wool then translated these into his signature visual pieces-- coupling words together, allowing letters to superimpose upon one another until a new discourse emerges. These evocative texts fray and bleed, the final impression subverts expectation until what we are viewing is more then a readable object.
