Riso 101 Workshop with Portable Editions

Riso 101 Workshop Portable Editions Risograph Miami

Riso 101
EXILE Books presents Portable Editions at History Miami
April 10th
(General public + Artists + print enthusiasts)

The Risograph machine seems a copier, but it is much more.
An eco-friendly printing system close to screen printing that creates small productions cheap and fast with interesting color effects.

As part of Portable Editions’ exhibiton (Re) Production of the Tropics we are inviting the public to re-appropriate imagery preserved within HistoryMiami’s archive.

Participants will learn theoretical, technical and practical introduction to Risograph printing. Explore possibilities of self-publishing for artists, (color) printing effects. Workshop participants will be invited to create/design their own page to be included in a collaborative piece and be added to the print gallery wall. Come learn about the risograph and re-tell the story of our tropical metropolis today. You’ll take home a sample copy/page poster of your work.

Special thanks to the Miami Downtown Development Authority for making this event possible.
