Scenes from a Verdant Place: Adler Guerrier discusses his most recent publication

Adler Guerrier is a multimedia artist based in Miami, Florida. His work is currently on view at the Perez Museum in a solo exhibition titled "Adler Guerrier: Formulating a Plot." He has also exhibited at David Castillo Gallery in Miami and at Newman Popiashvili Gallery in New York City. Guerrier co-directs the artist-run space, Dimensions Variable, and actively supports Turn-Based Press, a community printshop. Adler will be discussing his first artist's book titled "Scenes from A Verdant Place", which was printed in 2014 by the local non-profit [NAME] Publications. He will elaborate on the origins and design of this publication and how it relates to his larger practice. 

Adler Guerrier was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti and lives and works in Miami, FL. Subsequent to studies at the New World School of the Arts in Miami, Florida, Guerrier has exhibited at the Miami Art Museum, and The Whitney Biennial 2008. His works can be found in public collections including the Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami, and the Studio Museum in Harlem, NY. His work has appeared in Art in America and The New York Times, among others.
