Take It & Leave It

Take It & Leave It is the result of an activation that occurred at the EXILE Books storefront which took place from May to July 2021. A collaborative project between artists Najja Moon and Philip Lique, a library of books were covered by custom printed newsprint and installed to create the mini-exhibition "More Obscured Publications." Visitors were encouraged to intuitively search the library and photocopy images that enticed them and keep the book they selected. Each photocopy was archived and hidden in the remaining books.  A collected edition of the entire archive was released as a collaborative artist zine, and hidden in the original “Obscured Publications “ installation, on view at The Bakehouse Art Complex.
