Her Perfume Tears by Lizzi Bougatsos Book Release

Even if it’s in the past. Even if it’s not true.

Lizzi Bougatsos’s first book

Her Perfume Tears

Published by Boo-Hooray and EXILE Books as a strictly limited edition of 350 copies, launched at the opening of the exhibition Books Fuel Ideas on December 5 at BFI Gallery, 6-9 pm.

A nomad, picking up pieces, words, places from her travels as if she’s a portal, conveyer of truth for the masses, lives for human and primal life, a styled vagabond, mistress of survival, rummaging the streets, organizing her band for 13 years, lover, dreamer, activist punk thru her words, art is more metaphor where everything is for her performance, risking everything for her favorite place on earth as if she’d die tomorrow, any second. Any person, anything. As if it’s just another day on earth.

Lizzi Bougatsos is proud as punch to present her first book to you and us and all your pals and hers also, including where we all overlap.

Published by Boo-Hooray in ladylike and gentlemanly collaboration with EXILE Books and jointly edited by Lizzi, Amanda Keeley and Johan Kugelberg, this is a tour de force of an artists book.

Printed in an edition of 350 copies, Her Perfume Tears is 200 pages of Lizzi’s collages, artworks, poems, lyrics and archival ephemera from the ongoing tide of her magical life.

Each copy comes inside a origami-folded pocketed newsprint dustjacket containing a zine of Lizzi’s poetry and song writing process titled Enchanted by Her Squalor.

A special edition of 25 signed and numbered copies come with an original artwork.

The book will premiere on December 5, 2014 at the Books Fuel Ideas exhibit at EXILE Books in Miami.
