Come on over and check out our new inventory and storefront (with its very own parking lot!) get your hands on some fresh EXILE merchandise, witness the unveiling of a Lawrence Weiner mural inside the store itself, have a few drinks on us, and celebrate our opening with the whole community! Everyone’s invited, always.
EXILE Books formerly operated as a pop-up artist’s bookstore, migrating from site to site without a place to call our very own. Now we’re all popped out, and finally settled into our new digs off 59th street and NW 2nd avenue in Miami’s historic Little Haiti neighborhood!!
We've spent the past few summer months completely revamping our physical storefront and brand-new tropical inventory, carefully watering our new monstera plant named Marcel, and slowly but surely getting to know our brilliant Little Haiti neighbors – the crafty cooks at Clives Cafe just down the street, the Kreyol/French/English translator Jan Mapou of the legendary Libreri Mapou, community leader Abraham Metellus of the Little Haiti Cultural Complex. We’re officially settled, and officially opening to the public September 1st!
