EXILE will provide an introduction to artist's books through a series of weekly talks at Books & Books moderated by Amanda Keeley, a former manager of Printed Matter, Inc. and curatorial assistant to Yoko Ono.  Please join us this Thursday as Ruth and Marvin Sackner discuss their favorite artist's books fromthe 1960's as well as their personal reminiscences.

Ruth and Marvin Sackner are the founders of the Sackner Archive, the world’s largest private collection of concrete/visual poetry from twentieth century art movements as Italian Futurism, Russian and Eastern European Avant Garde, Dada, Surrealism, Bauhaus, De Stijl, Ultra, Tabu-Dada, Lettrisme, and Ultra-Lettrisme. Over sixty-thousand objects from around the world speak volumes about a compulsive and joyful life of collecting art, poetry, and artist books.
