IlluminArts Presents Songs of the City, Songs in the Dark

Join us for an immersive musical experience that will encourage you to engage with sound through all of your senses. IlluminArts, Miami’s Art Song and Vocal Chamber Music series, presents an evening of song and poetry to highlight the groundbreaking collaboration between EXILE Books and the Miami Center for Architecture and Design, LISTEN TO THIS BUILDING.

Songs of the City, Songs in the Dark will feature songs that explore life in the city, how places define us, and the characters who bring our buildings and city to life, alongside music by composers who overcame physical challenges to create timeless masterworks. Thursday’s audience can look forward to songs by Joaquin Rodrigo, Ludwig von Beethoven, Ricky Ian Gordon, William Bolcom, Christopher Berg, and more!
